Seraphim Solar to open 300MW USA Manufacturing Operation

Seraphim Solar USA is officially announcing more details on their new U.S. factory.

Seraphim Solar Manufacturing USA, Inc. (hereafter referred to as “Seraphim USA”), an extension of one of the industry’s highest-ranked global integrated providers of photovoltaic (PV) products; announced that its new solar factory in Jackson, Mississippi is scheduled to commence trial operation. The plant, which will be completed in two phases, will produce a minimum of 300MW a year. The first phase will begin formal manufacturing and operation in November, with an anticipated expanded production capacity of 1GW within the next 3 years.

Equipped with the most intelligent automated production line in the industry, the Seraphim USA manufacturing plant is able to produce the most efficient modules in the world.  Modules developed by Seraphim can meet all of the diverse needs of North American customers: including DuraFlex modules able to bear up to 8000Pa mechanical load, intellectual modules with integrated “smart” technology, “EzBox” configured with three junction boxes, and Twin-Glass modules applicable to specialized roof projects.

While the Seraphim USA plant is finalizing construction, the third plant of Seraphim Changzhou (China) will also commence operation of new increased capacity to 1.1GW totally in China. Consistent high-demand for its proprietary products has required Seraphim to rapidly upgrade its production capacity into most major countries. Justin Xi says, “Building this plant in the USA is one of many steps to Seraphim’s aggressive global strategy. Swedish businessman takes a swing at Alibaba and eBay and launches 39 language online marketplace

GOTHENBURG, SWEDEN – 16 Sep, 2015 – After 25 years of wrestling the language barriers of international trade, a Swedish businessman launches a 39 language online marketplace, addressing 5.5 billion people.

Swedish entrepreneur and international businessman Andreas Isaksson, founder of the multilingual advertisement web portal Commercus.com, available in 39 languages (and counting), allowing buyers and sellers in more than 100 of the world’s most populated markets to easily communicate with each other.

According to Isaksson, Commercus.com is the only true multilingual ad web portal on the market. “If you want to buy or sell a product or service, just post your ad in your own language – and then select the languages you would like it to be translated into,” he explains. “Our translation service will convert the content of your ad and will display it in your chosen languages on the site.

Commercus.com offers more than 400 categories of goods and services, and applies machine translation into any of the available languages at a rate of €3 per language. This is in contrast to existing alternatives that are often country specific and based on a single language. “Some people will say that machine translation is not 100% accurate but there are no real cost effective alternatives. If you would like to present your product or service to a bigger audience an ad that is 97% correct from an language point of view is better than no advertisement at all.”

Isaksson says that Commercus.com is an idea whose time has come. “In an age of globalization the world is full of people who would like to do business and sell and buy products or services, but one significant obstacle has remained,” he says. “Although it’s easy to transfer money instantly, and transportation is relatively cheap, more and more free trade agreements evolves but the language barrier remains a big barrier. Commercus.com was founded to knock down that barrier and open up a new era of truly global commerce.”

In the past quarter-century Isaksson has done business all around the world, working in Iran, Russia, Hungary, and Turkey among other places, and later partnering with a Japanese machine manufacturer – not bad for a farm boy from Gothenburg, Sweden. Though he often used interpreters to communicate with his clients, language barriers were a recurring issue. “Having to depend on interpreters to communicate with clients can sometimes be like trying to find your way in total darkness,” he says.

One point he came to realize in his years of conducting business all over the globe was that English, though very useful and widely spoken, is not the universal language it had long been touted to be. “That’s nothing against English,” he says. “But English speakers who don’t speak any other languages are limited if they want to do business globally, unless they have an interpreter, or a powerful tool like Commercus.com. It is the same the other way around, there are more people on this planet that do not speak English at all and have a very limited possibility to reach outside their own country.”

One thing you do not realize is the impact commercus.com also could have for domestic advertising. It could preferably be used in US on a domestic basis then US have big minorities of people that only speaks Spanish, Korean, Vietnamese, Chinese or Filipino. After 25 years of wrestling the language barriers of international trade, a Swedish businessman launches a 39 language online marketplace, addressing 5.5 billion people.

GOTHENBURG, SWEDEN – 16 Sep, 2015 – Using machine translation, Commercus.com lets businesses and consumers post advertisements in up to 39 languages, reaching buyers and sellers in more than a hundred of the world’s most populated markets.

“Transportation is cheap, it is easy to transfer money, and the world is full of people who love to do business. But even though globalisation has come far, the language barrier remains an obstacle,” says founder Andreas Isaksson.

After 25 years in international business, he has seen his fair share of confusion. Born and raised on a farm outside of Gothenburg, Sweden, Isaksson went on to pursue a career selling Volvo trucks. A first adventure presented itself in Iran.

“I went there on a business trip in 1990, and ended up staying for three years. I travelled the country, and almost nobody in the business community understood a word of what I wanted to say,” says Isaksson.

In his dealings with the world of business, a pattern emerged. Isaksson was sent to sell trucks in Russia, Hungary and Turkey, only to find himself using interpreters to communicate with clients. Having left Volvo, he partnered with a Japanese machine tool manufacturer, whereby the procedure was duly repeated. Gradually it occurred to him that English wasn’t the global language it is so widely believed to be.

“Doing business is all about presenting an offer, but doing that is difficult if you can’t communicate properly. During my career I have been dependent on interpreters, and it is like working in complete darkness,” says Isaksson.

Now his experiences have spawned the idea of a global marketplace for goods and services. Whereas existing alternatives are often country specific, based on a single language, Commercus.com applies machine translation to maximise the potential impact of each advertisement. Users post ads in their native tongue, choosing between +400 categories, after which the advertisements are automatically translated into any language of choice at a rate of €3 per language.

“Until now, there has been no way to advertise your products and services on a truly global level,” says Isaksson.

First CRE documentary stuns industry: ‘Every investor MUST watch this film!’

16 Sep, 2015 – Oman Mohammed lived the American dream.  He immigrated 40 years ago to the United States, started a grocery store, and eventually “retired” with $30 Million of commercial property investments, until the last downturn caused him to lose everything and end with a $3.5 Million judgement against him.  Now he has nothing but social security and had to start over like he did 40 years ago.  

The following clip comes from the first two minutes of the new commercial real estate (CRE) documentary film, Revenue Reserve, where Omar describes “What it’s like” to lose everything at age 70, complete with trying to take his own life 3 times.

This new documentary film, Revenue Reserve, seeks to address the 800 lbs. gorilla in the room:  most investors and their advisors (including agents, attorneys, CPA’s, etc.) don’t really know what they are doing, but think they do.  Most do well when things are going up, which does not require talent, but when things go wrong (and they will again), too many experience a real-life “Shoots & Ladders” board game experience where they slide back to where they started or worse.  

Lenders and investors share this problem.  For example, about 15% of the commercial loans went bad for FDIC lenders in the last down-turn, but only .05% of loans went south for the life insurance lenders.  What were the life insurance lenders doing differently from the FDIC lenders?

Coding: (verb) The act of writing or revising a computer program. From Latin codex, meaning “book”.

Coding is also referred to as “software development” or “programming”.

Boot camp: (noun) An intensive training program, as for improving one’s physical fitness or skills in a particular subject area. “Boot” comes from Middle English bot, meaning “help”. “Camp” comes from Latin campus, meaning “level ground” (specifically from the Roman usage of a level ground utilized for games, athletic practice, and military drills).

A coding boot camp, also commonly called a “developer boot camp” or “programming boot camp”, is an intensive training program in software development. There are many developer boot camps in the world. Usually they have these characteristics:

• The programs take about 2-6 months full-time.

• The technical skills taught are aimed at getting immediate employment as a junior-level software developer.

• The training environment is “immersive”, meaning that students immerse themselves in the subject – often putting other life concerns on hold as they work through the training.

Developer boot camps are a relatively new element of the technology education landscape – the first boot camps began in the San Francisco Bay Area in 2012. The educational roots of coding boot camps go back quite far, from traditional apprentice programs to the career schools that sprung up in the early 20th century.

The rise of dev boot camps was driven by the shortage of technical talent faced by the technology industry. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that by the year 2020, there will be over 1 million unfilled computing jobs.

In response to this shortage, the technology industry has had to look for non-traditional ways to create the technical talent it needs. Rather than a replacement for the traditional college path to a career in software development, coding boot camps are just one more way to arrive at a very desirable place – employed in a well-paying, challenging field with good job security.

Whereas colleges are good options for those who can afford it and are able to study for 2-4 years, boot camps can be a resource for students that want to learn coding who have less available funds and time. Both are excellent options.

There are a wide variety of dev boot camps in the country. For those interested in taking this path to break into the technology field, it can be daunting – often the prospective student is unfamiliar with the very terms describing the contents of a boot camp’s training program. It can also be difficult to make a decision about what specific set of skills one should seek in order to have the best shot at landing a good job. Finally, some boot camps will only work with students who already have some programming experience or education.

In our opinion, here are some things worth looking into if you’re thinking of attending a coding boot camp:

Does the program cover the fundamentals of Computer Science?

The technology field changes rapidly. Without a solid understanding of the basics of how computers work, it can be difficult to keep up with a changing technology landscape.

Will you learn a variety of different computer programming languages and systems?

If you have a deep but narrow skill set in only one or two technologies, you may find it challenging to find a job outside of those technologies – and when that language falls out of favor, you may have an uphill battle in gaining skills in the new, more popular technologies.

Is the program self-paced?

We all learn at different rates. If you have to move in lock-step with other students, you may find yourself frustrated or left behind. An ideal training program will let you speed ahead when you are doing well, but will quickly handle any confusions or barriers when you get stuck.

Does the program cover soft skills?

Soft skills are those non-technical abilities that make a potential employee quite desirable. These are things like good manners, effective communication, leadership skills, the ability to cooperate in a team dynamic, and more. Even in a market with a talent shortage, these things matter.

Will you work on real-world coding projects, and not just textbook exercises?

There is much you can learn from a well-run classroom – but at some point, you’ve got to dive in on a live project. There’s no substitute for proving to yourself that you can produce a valuable, working product that’s meant to be used in the real world.

Most importantly, will the program help you get employed?

At the end of the day, all that will really matter is that you are able to utilize the tools you learned as a developer. Attending a boot camp and then living in your parent’s basement, unemployed, would be a failure.

Andreas Jones on “The Price We Pay for Lack of Leadership”

A majority of Americans say they distrust the federal government. This is a sharp turnaround from previous generations. Andreas Jones sheds light on the problem and offers a solution to this loss of faith in our leaders.

According to a survey by Pew Research Centre in February 2014, a stunning 76% of respondents said they distrust the federal government, “always or most of the time”. Only 24% said they trust the government “always or most of the time”.

The data indicate a breakdown of trust in several key areas:

Americans feel that real leadership in Washington is in short supply. Some say this is a long-standing problem while others opine that it’s become the norm in recent years. Both sides agree on one point: it will take something extraordinary to raise Americans’ confidence in Congress.

In a recent presentation to business leaders, leadership expert Andreas Jones said, “We are paying an enormous price on a national and an individual level as a result of ineffective elected officials. Our faith in our elected leaders has eroded our confidence in the future, and the result is a lowering of our expectations for our families and communities.”

Jones says that the more common reasons for this leadership crisis include:

Americans believe leadership comes from the top down, and they don’t see that in Washington. They believe that bottom-up leadership creates chaos because it causes disruption.

They expect their elected leaders to perform the tasks for which they were elected and that their leaders should be more proactive in tackling the challenges they face.

“While we face many monumental challenges today, none is too difficult to solve with good leadership”, says Jones, “but because of poor leadership skills, these challenges are seen as insurmountable.”

They believe government service benefits politicians’ personal interests more than it benefits the people they serve.

“Politicians seem to have forgotten the word “service” when it comes to government service. Americans believe many of their leaders are in office to fulfill their personal ambitions, not to serve the people.”

Many believe the federal government has fostered a world of uncertainty, which is not only felt by Americans, but by people who have traditionally looked to the U.S. for leadership and stability.

“America has a long history of stellar leaders, and as the only remaining superpower, we have an obligation to demonstrate compassionate leadership to others who aspire to live better lives”, says Jones.

“Unfortunately, many believe that the government is tarnishing the hard-won reputation of America in the eyes of other countries, and if this trend continues, the world will eventually see us as people weak and equivocal.”

Most important, the electorate wants leaders they can trust, and distrust of Washington seems to be growing.

“This is not a partisan issue”, says Jones. “The corrosive influence of pop culture and the glorification of greed have left a deep impression on the minds and values of many. These values are being expressed and accepted at the highest levels because it’s what many people have come to expect in life. But we can turn that around.”

Jones believes leadership training should be a part of every politician’s career. “Having the ability to make nice speeches or having the finances to use the media to get elected doesn’t mean you have leadership skills”, says Jones, “but leadership is something that can–and must–be learned by politicians who truly wish to serve others. And it’s not taught in schools.”

“Just as technology is giving rise to new ways of teaching science and language skills, we now have training systems that teach the most important skills of all–leadership skills. And leadership skills can be learned.”

UpDog announced that they added a feature for users to report inappropriate content. The change is pending Apple’s approval, however company officials have no reason to believe Apple will reject the change. 

“Since our content is user-generated, we need a mechanism in place for users to deem a video or comment as inappropriate,” states Joseph Mera of UpDog. 

The function is listed under the Share option beneath a review. “A user simply clicks ‘report inappropriate’, types a short message about the offensive material and hits Send,” states UpDog founder Bree Goldstein. “The system then sends us a message that includes the users comments and the video in question. At which point we can remove the content.” 

UpDog officials believe this feature will add to the application and make it more user-friendly for both consumers and organizations. “We don’t want offensive material, just honest, authentic experiences,” continues Mera. 

This feature is inline with other popular review and social media applications.

Factors Driving Villa Sales

Sales are being driven by a number of factors:

• In the first place one cannot forget that Marbella itself is one of the most sought after destinations in the world, both for holidaymakers as well as those looking to relocate on a more permanent basis for a better life. Located on the southern tip of Europe it is blessed with over 300 days of sunshine a year, more than 40 golf courses, stunning beaches, a world class infrastructure of restaurants, shops and services and a Mediterranean lifestyle that is renown worldwide – all within a few hours flight of most of the major European capitals. Indeed there are few destinations that can match the overall appeal of Marbella – there will always be a demand for property in Marbella.

• A lack of supply of homes for sale, particularly in the high-end luxury sector. Savvy investors took advantage of the substantial price reductions at the start of the recession and good properties offered at below market value have all been purchased. At the same time a lack of bank financing meant that developers no longer constructed new homes.

• Traditional buyers of homes in Marbella have reappeared as their own economies have improved, in particular the British, Irish, Germans and the Scandinavians as well as buyers from Belgium, France, other European countries and the rest of the world.

• The Euro has depreciated substantially and prices in Marbella are extremely competitive for buyers from countries outside of the Euro area, for example the United Kingdom, Sweden, Norway and Sweden.

• As part of the European Community, Spain is a safe and secure country to invest in both for buyers from other European countries as well as those from outside of the EEC looking to establish a foothold in Europe

• Prices for quality properties are going up and investors are realizing the potential for positive returns that the Marbella real estate market can offer, especially in relation to more traditional forms of investment, such as bank deposits.

For a purchaser looking to buy a property in Nueva Andalucia or Marbella, whilst prices are still at levels that offer incredible value for money, it is now moving towards a sellers’ market as prices steadily increase.

A vendor with a good property that is priced correctly can be confident that the property will sell and, as recent cases of gazumping show, sometimes even above the asking price.
