Relationship and Ancestral Healing Coach Jane Whiting from Quantum Coaching with Jane reveals how ancestors have a much greater influence than physical characteristics and personality traits in her group program called “Heal Toxic Relationships: End Suffering Forever and Receive the Love You Deserve.”
According to Whiting many of the problems encountered in everyday lives aren’t new and are instead a continuation of problems experienced by previous ancestors. This could explain why certain problems, illnesses, and patterns keep repeating themselves in families.
“Even though our ancestors may be long gone they are still a very powerful living force in our lives. If they’re happy with us they can help us from the other side. However if they are unhappy, they can also cause many problems.” Whiting explains.
Jane’s mission is to empower passionate women to break free from the wounds of the past so they can experience the love they deserve. She says that relationship and ancestral healing is a very important part of this process.
American poet Ralph Waldo Emerson said it eloquently: “Every man is a quotation from all his ancestors.”
The role of women has changed dramatically in recent times as they are standing alongside men taking on new roles like never before. Whiting points out that healing dysfunctional relationship patterns of mothers, grandmothers and great-grandmothers and beyond may hold the key to loving happy relationships today.
“There is much healing to be done for women to fully embrace the opportunities of their times and live happy lives,” Whiting says. “Centuries, possibly millennia, of inherited behaviors of self-sacrifice and people-pleasing as a means to protect themselves and make their lives as easy as possible is taking its toll on women’s capacity to have healthy, fulfilling and happy relationships today.”
Whiting recently released a free booklet “How to Heal Your Most Toxic Relationships & Experience the Love You Deserve” explaining just that.
As Dhen Dancel puts it “We all grow up with the weight of history on us. Our ancestors dwell in the attics of our brains as they do in the spiraling chains of knowledge hidden in every cell of our bodies.”
This could explain dysfunctional relationship patterns that are passed on from generation to generation or why sometimes self-expression may be difficult because it may not have been easy for previous generations.
Whiting adds that female ancestors probably didn’t know much about being true to themselves, personal growth, soul searching, setting firm boundaries or effective communication. Instead, they conducted themselves to gain approval from those who had power over them as a means of making life as easy as possible.
If they fell pregnant out of wedlock or had to marry hastily they often carried that shame for the duration of their life.
According to Whiting, ancestors will sometimes appear in dreams as a way to catch someone’s attention. If they look unhappy then this is a sign that they have unfinished business which is keeping them stuck.
It is widely recognized and understood by the eastern cultures that problems experienced by one’s ancestors can filter through into the lives of subsequent generations, causing problems and unwanted circumstances until somebody breaks the pattern.
“Sadly, in our western culture we have a minimal understanding regarding this and consequently, we are missing out,” Whiting says.
