In Washington State alone, workman’s comp claims in the trucking industry were so high that the state began an initiative for preventing on the job trucking injuries.  The initiative is called the TIRES Initiative and works with industry leaders, safety and health professionals, employers, drivers, warehouse and dock workers, and many others to develop educational materials that identify hazards and provide low-cost, simple solutions to prevent injuries.  In 2017, the country of Australia is also experiencing its own share of high workman’s comp claims with a large number also being due to strains and sprains.

Workman’s comp claims cost US businesses alone $1 billion dollars per week (Source: US Dept of Labor Website). 1 in 4 injuries are caused by overexertion.  For the trucking industry, at an average cost of $26,000 per workman’s comp claim, and an average of 184 lost work days per claim, totalling around $107 million and 576,000 lost work days per year on average, it pays to equip employees with the proper tools to help prevent injuries.

The first is Asset Lock. Kurt is currently one of the few Asset Lock Equipped Advisors in the market today. This revolutionary and proprietary software enables the firm to communicate regularly the status of the client’s personal Asset Lock Number. This number is chosen by the client to represent what he or she is comfortable losing in the market. The system alerts the client when they are close to closing in on that number or when they reach a high water mark for their account, enabling them to make a decision. The second product is “Solomon API” that monitors the client’s accounts day and night.

“Solomon API is a really great tool that looks at 150 market indicators at any given time,” explains Arseneau.  “These indicators allow us to move from an ETF portfolio or Mutual fund portfolio to a bond portfolio and back again.  It is very advanced stuff that no human could ever do.”

Prior to starting Arseneau Advisory, he co-founded an Insurance Marketing Organization that coached financial professionals all over the country with planning their client’s financial journey.  In 2016, after watching many financial professionals put their needs first, Kurt decided to sell that company to his partners and open Arseneau Advisory Group as a fiduciary.
