SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Sep 9, 2015 – Since June, Marin’s high end real estate market has been experiencing a significant rise in active listings and home sales and shows no signs of slowing down. Higher-end price categories in particular – $4,000,000 and over – are the newest hot market in the Bay Area Real Estate boom we’ve been witnessing for the last several years, according to Sotheby’s Market Data.

Nicole J. As the leader of this trend, the most expensive single-family home in California sold in Marin last month for $47.5 million.

New Apple Product for the Holidays Announced

CUPERTINO, CA – 09 Sep, 2015 – The rumor mill has been flying that a new Apple product will be hitting the market this Holiday season and it will be the most affordable one yet.

While many in the technology industry have been speculating that it will be a new iPhone 6 or even a new portable Mac computer, insiders are reporting that the product is something much different. This new product is not new technology, even though some have reported otherwise. It is being described as a modern use of a familiar product. Many seem to believe this product is an older model ipod made with less expensive, Chinese parts, but with new technology. Several bloggers even believe it may be a scaled down, 2 GB iPhone for kids under the age of eight.

Business owner Jonathan Sidy is the only one to provide clear answers to this present mystery. Sidy says, “I hate to burst the bubble of so many technology-driven folks around the world, but the product, I assure you, isn’t even electronic.”

This leads to speculation as to what it actually is. Outside of an Apple T-shirt or Apple accessory, it appears that an Apple product under ten dollars is hard to come by. Even an Apple T-Shirt would be made out of the finest cotton and, some speculate, would cost closer to twenty-dollars.

“The speculation and rumor mill can now stop. The product everyone is buzzing about is actually Apple Stock and it is only eight dollars and ninety-five cents. Also, no one has to wait until the holidays because it is available now,” says Sidy.

It seems there has even been a mix up as to the manufacturer of this product. Apple Stock is not actually classified as a security or even apart of Apple, Inc. It is actually the woodcuttings from an Apple tree. Certified Apple Stock comes in a 6-inch long by 1.5-inch wide, white tube with the Apple Stock sticker centered on the outside. Included inside are one to three pieces of certified apple stock (determined by thickness, size and variety) and an 8.5 x 5.5-inch certificate of authenticity. Additionally, the tube arrives sealed on both ends so that it may be given as a gift.

Bagantrade.com, a large ecommerce portal of Myanmar that has been modelled after China’s highly successful ecommerce portal Alibaba, is launched in April 2015. The ecommerce portal was envisioned by a group of Burmese entrepreneurs. Steven Phyo, one of the founder members and the current CEO of Bagantrade.com, told the press that their primary aim is to bridge the gap between local manufacturers of Myanmar and the vast and highly potential global market. He said that a thorough pre-launch market analysis was conducted by his team so that the strengths and challenges of Burmese manufacturers could be identified. Primarily, they found that agro-based products, handicrafts and jewellery have a larger global market which is still untapped.

Bagantrade.com co-founders, including Steven Phyo, met the press recently to declare their key objectives. “We have noticed that the local manufacturers in Myanmar really need a common ecommerce platform like Alibaba so that they can export their products to other countries. Internet penetration in Myanmar local market is still not anywhere near the global average. Many of the wholesalers and manufacturers offer truly world-class products but sadly, they lack the knowledge and expertise to promote and sell their products online. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Nay Min Thu, who picked up the idea and invested top dollars for its strategic implementation,” said Steven Phyo. We must say that we received response from local traders in Myanmar as initially many of them started suspecting us. We had to do a lot of ground level networking among local traders and manufacturers and I am happy to state that we have started to reap the benefits,” Mr. Zin Phyo Paing told the press.

Mr. Nay Min Thu, who runs an immensely successful website in Singapore (Shwerooms.com), told the press that Bagantrade.com is planning to collaborate with regional trade promotion departments of Burmese government and provide nationwide training on online trading. He said that local governments have welcomed the idea and some top ministers have shown interest in further collaboration.

At present, Bagantrade.com has thousands of listings from a good number of Burmese traders. Steven Phyo told the press that Bagantrade.com is not aiming at making huge profit at this moment. “We are mainly focused on capacity building for local suppliers and traders. We will also rope in traders from the neighbour countries. We are a fifteen-member team now and we will continue to expand. We want to take the local market products to the world. This way, we can ensure good business for all fellow Burmese traders in long term.

Unfortunately, in many communities the youth hardly have a chance to spread their wings or find the encouragement to explore their artistic, musical or other abilities.  Be Iconic Entertainment, the brainchild of CEO Fallon Moreno, was founded to overcome these hurdles offering youth a place to express their artistic ability as musicians, singers or rappers, dancers, actors and actresses or however else their abilities express themselves.  Recently Be Iconic Entertainment announced it will be holding its first special event Generation NEXT on November 15th, 2015 at Burbank, California’s Flappers Club.  The red carpet celebration will feature at-risk youth from across the nation displaying their amazing talents to a crowd full of supportive and enthusiastic members of the community.  For Be Iconic Entertainment, and for many of the children and their families, it’s literally a dream come true.

Ever since we won “The Best Crystal ChandelierAward from Swarovski in the year 2005, our journey has been quite an expedition which dug out a whole new realm of opportunities which we never considered to exist, for us, before.

We have  spelled out E.X.C.E.L.L.A.N.C.E  in every project we have  undertaken till today. We largely focus on upcoming hotels.  We ensure we give our personal involvement into the intricacies of the design our customer asks of us. We consider the pillars of our success to be:  Perseverance, Consistency, Faithful Deliberation and Hard Work.

We create reasons for our buyers, to come back to us for more work. We leave no stone unturned, which ensures there is no space for any regret to enter into our buyers mind about the quality of work which we delivered to them, even after a lot of time has passed after the completion of our work.

When we ask the chairperson what cited the inception of such a long journey, he modestly replies, “My father never worked. My brother found glory in bringing the family to doom. Last year, we manufactured a Chandelier for JW Marriott, Bangalore using 65 lac imported Crystals. The Chandelier ran on the entire ceiling of the banquet hall which was 500 running feet long.  Recently, we designed large  Chandeliers  which are going to be showcased in the Salman Khan starrer “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo” scheduled to release this Diwali. Our biggest honor, however, was our crystal chandeliers  being used for “Lalbaughcha Raja” this Ganesh Utsav (festival).

Vertical Fitness are one of three finalists for the local Gainsborough Business Awards customer service category after being open for exactly two months.

A string of nominations were put forward for the new fitness studio from clients that propelled them into the finals at Gainsborough’s annual prestigious event. The Gainsborough Business Awards celebrate businesses in Gainsborough and the surrounding area by promoting excellence in a range of categories including: Business of the Year, Best Small Business of the Year, Apprentice of the Year, Best New Business, Best Use of Innovation/Technology, Outstanding Contribution to the Community, Best Customer Service.

The Awards were created to recgonise local businesses for their achievements and celebrate them in a more public and formal fashion. Langleys Solicitors and Ideafuel came together to organise the first ever event back in 2010. Since then there have been numerous winners and runners up in each category and the two businesses through their continued work together are supporting the sixth anniversary of the Awards this year.

Vertical Fitness is a new business that delivers fitness classes during the day and evenings to local residents. They have a pole dancing studio (called Vertical Joy) that hosts national workshops and teaches pole to beginners through to advanced individuals. They also provide a timetable of the more common fitness classes including bootcamp, circuits, boxing, and Insanity.

Business owner Sarah Myers stated: “It was a massive surprise, we’ve only been running our own place for a couple of months. So for any of our clients to take the time out to nominate us, that’s more than we could have expected. We always try to provide a warm and welcoming environment. I suppose I’m just a bit overwhelmed that people like what we do so much that they took the time out to give us recognition for it. Everyone has shown us enormous support, when really, we wouldn’t be here without them.”

The Gainsborough Business Awards is a great event for networking and raising the profile of local businesses. Vertical Fitness have reached the finals in the Customer Service category alongside Marks and Spencers and Emmalooos Coffee House. Fitness Instructor Jodie King had this to say about their nomination: “I used to work at Marks and Spencers so I know first-hand that their customer service is second to none – I am probably still a little biased – and Emmalooos is well known in the town for their friendly atmosphere and great food so it is stiff competition for sure. We are honoured and somewhat taken aback by the nominations. It is safe to say that it has put a big smile on our faces and we are very pleased to be a part of the Awards. It’s a great excuse to celebrate our first two months and pat ourselves on the back in style!”

Inflow Communications has installed more than a new telecommunications system, provided by the passage of a $680 million school bond last year. The new system replaces decades-old antiquated equipment saving thousands of dollars for the district.

Ahead of schedule and under budget, this summer Portland-based Inflow Communications integrated an on-site, comprehensive, multi-unit communications system in 33 Beaverton schools, and the Transportation and the Administration Center. The Inflow system also includes automated safety and security features that are unified and fully redundant. The Beaverton School District now has an infrastructure that is “fail-safe,” which means that the Inflow-installed system is capable of instantly taking over communication controls from any communication point in case of a communication unit interruption, including the core site.

With the new system, teachers, staff, and students will be able to communicate from virtually any customized device – video, audio, desktop sharing, conferencing, work stations, smartphones, tablets, instant messaging (IM), IP handsets, and other systems. This new multi-unit communication system makes instant communication possible on multiple devices between schools, offices and external communications. For example, the Inflow Communications system, which exclusively utilizes ShoreTel® technologies, increases safety by transmitting specific directions to first-responders.

“We wanted a system that provided additional security features that tied to our paging system, and provided first responders with more specific information where an incident may be occurring,” says Administrator for Technology Services, Jordan Beveridge.

In 2015 and 2016, additional automated safety features that will assist internal and external communications are scheduled for deployment.

The Beaverton School District regularly collaborates with other school and government systems to share best practices to keep students learning in the best possible circumstances.
