Evy Ougendal selected as Top Female Executive of the Year for 2017 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP).

OSLO, NORWAY – 23 Mar, 2017 – Evy Ougendal, President of Portuguese-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce was selected as “Top Female Executive of the Year” for 2017 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP). 

While inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor in itself, only a few members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, longevity in the field, other affiliations and contributions to their communities.  All honorees are invited to attend the IAOTP’s annual award gala at the end of this year for a night to honor their achievements.

With over three decades of professional experience, Evy has definitely proven herself as an accomplished professional and expert in the business world.  As a talented, dynamic, results-driven leader, she has demonstrated success not only with the Portuguese-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce but with every company she has worked for. She has also provided visionary leadership in the highly competitive Travel and Real Estate industries.

Evy is an Internationally Award winning Senior Executive and Board Member within diverse industries from sports and culture to property development and marketing.   She is the former Chief Executive Officer of a major property development adjacent to the prestigious Vale do Lobo Algarve in Portugal.  She began her post-collegiate career as a real estate agent and rose through the ranks very quickly, advancing to director and partner in her real estate agency and later senior advisor in Norway´s biggest bank, DNB´s commercial property division. She was head-hunted to one of Norway’s at the time, leading real estate companies as marketing director, but was relocated to oversee and manage the company’s development of a 140 unit luxury holiday resort in the Algarve, Portugal – the Dunas Douradas Beach Club, where she was appointed CEO in 2007.  She served in that position until April of 2014. Aside from her several board positions she has held over the years in real estate, Evy was also a press spokeswoman for the Realtors Union and had several appearances on national news broad casting networks in the nineties.

Evy remains active in her community and very much involved in the International Community, innovation and emerging markets. She has been recognized worldwide for her outstanding leadership, her passion to architecture and landscaping, and her commitment to the profession. In 2010, Evy was honored with the European Residential Property Awards in association with Bloomberg/Kohler, Best Development Europe. She also received the World Travel Awards, Europe’s Best Apartment and Villa Residences in 2012. In 2015 she was named “Outstanding Professional of the Year” with Bristol Who’s Who and for 2017 selected as Top Female Executive with the International Association of Top Professionals.  She is a board member of Bygdoy Sanitetsforening, Member of the National Theaters Support Group and former singer in the Borkman Quire at the Norwegian National Theatre. She is a member of both British Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and the Oslo Chamber of Commerce, and an associated member of League of Leading Ladies in Switzerland. She is also a sought after international-level speaker and was honored as a guest speaker at the yearly assembly of European Shopping Centers in 2001, at the conference for “Women in Business” in Lisbon and interviewed on Bloomberg TV in 2010. 

Evy received her degree in Economics, Real Estate and Journalism from Oslo University College (BI and HiO) and is about to complete her Master of Business Administration degree from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh. She is fluent in English, Norwegian, Portuguese, and German.

Looking back, Evy attributes her success to always striving for excellence, always being kind and respectful toward others, having the utmost integrity and staying passionate in all her endeavors.  When she is not working she enjoys spending time with family, charity work, singing in choir and enjoying the arts.  For the future, she will continue to grow as an entrepreneur, continue to grow as a professional and aspires to continue to make a difference in people’s lives.

The distributed cloud computing platform, iEx.ec has announced the schedule for its upcoming cryptocurrency crowdsale. The token sale will go live on April 12, 2017, at 1300 (GMT). Through this crowdsale, the project aims to raise funds required to create a distributed cloud environment to meet the rising need for computationally intense and decentralized business practices.

iEx.ec hopes to raise a sum of $2 million through the upcoming crowdsale, which will be used to cover iEx.ec’s development and launch costs. Participants in the crowdsale can contribute in BTC or ETH to become eligible for RLC tokens, the native currency for the iEx.ec cloud network. Immigration Expert Steven Riznyk Comments on Trump’s Order 13768 and How It’s Getting Rid of Visa Holders and Immigrants Who Have no Idea it Exists

SAN DEGO, CA – 23 Mar, 2017 – It is interesting to note that a lot of Green Card and visa holders are still not aware of Presidential Order 13768 as the travel ban took over the news. However, Steven Riznyk’s law firm, San Diego Biz Law, has been receiving calls from clients nationwide and worldwide who are affected by this section. They are afraid to travel, are denied entry at the border, and lose their airfares as well as vacation times. 

People don’t realize, states Steven Riznyk, how Presidential Order 13768 is affecting their family members and employees. Regrettably, and what is more surprising, states Mr Riznyk, is that a lot of visa and Green Card holders have no idea this Order is in effect, and are blindly traveling outside our borders, never to return. 

Green Card and Visa Holders are unaware that if they have a criminal record of any kind they require an approved waiver from the CIS (=immigration department) or Governor’s Pardon (for more serious offences); otherwise, they are leaving the United States, possibly never to return. Although people think that they only have a 5 or 10-year bar with certain offences, the reality is that they are not automatically allowed in after the time has elapsed; they often have to present a case. People without a valid waiver will find themselves unable to visit sick or dying relatives or otherwise travel outside the United States. 

Basically, three categories of people are listed as priorities for removal (previously called deportation) that will wipe out a substantial proportion of our foreign population. First, anyone with a criminal record of any kind (even $5.00 shoplifting), anyone who has been convicted of ‘any’ crime, even if they have not been convicted, and people who have committed the essential elements of a crime, even if they have not been charged.

People do not know what this means. For example, if Joe Smith notices that his co-worker, Maria Jones, has been driving while intoxicated after a staff party, he or she can have this person removed from the United States. It’s that simple. 

The problem with this Order is that not everyone who has been charged is guilty. Not everyone who has committed the elements of a crime meant to commit a crime.

Why is it that this order has not been in the news a lot? Simple. A lot of people think that something that deals with criminal issues is negative and people may believe they side with offender.  As a result, they don’t want to touch the topic. However, part of the reason our criminal laws have so many sections and regulations is because there are many instances where an exception should be granted. For example, a lawyer called me, states Steven Riznyk, and stated that a person who was here illegally (and we do not support that) was driving by and saw someone attacking a police officer and the police officer was in threat for his life. The person, being a good human, got out of his car and overtook the criminal, saving the police officer’s life. He is now in removal (previously called deportation) proceedings. Is that fair? Should he have left the police officer die?

Another situation that sticks with Mr Riznyk’s memory is a lady who was at Walmart, picking up pictures, when her child started screaming out of control. She took the kids out of the front door ( a few feet from the photo counter of Walmart) when the employee called security. The woman had every intention of paying the $5.00 but forgot about the risk when she took her kids out for a moment. The person at the counter of Walmart called security and she is in removal proceedings.

In San Diego, and particularly in a part of it called Pacific Beach, the local police are conducting traffic stops, checking for DUIs, while the CIS agents are asking for peoples’ identification and right to remain in the United States, even following people to their homes if they don’t have it handy. Although federal agents are unable to stop people randomly, they are using DUI stops as a way to remove immigrants and visa holders.

The problem we have here, is that we have granted high-level powers to people untrained and unequipped to make such decisions.  Where lives of parents and children are involved, experience and training can make a world of difference in the exercise of discretionary power. 

Where stories of people who have made a contribution to the United States and have now been removed will not help our country, states Mr Riznyk. These stories will be shared in the person’s country and will spread, creating a reputation we do not deserve. People will have a negative viewpoint of the United States. The many decades we have spent developing an image of a country that does right by others will be wiped out in a microsecond, only to be replaced by thoughts of a country that is ungrateful. 

On the one hand, it is true that in some cases the foreign person would not be in this predicament had they not committed a criminal offence. The people who have been convicted and not charged or those who have a justification (ie Walmart example above) on the other, should not have to spend 8 months abroad while a waiver is decided, or even a lifetime if it is denied. One aspect of this situation that people do not seem to take into account is the disruption it causes in the lives of schoolchildren, American businesses, and personal lives; especially for people who have a justification.

Nowhere FC Proposes Crowdfunding-Backed, Trans-Media Art Show “FOOTBALL CONCIERGE #05: FRIENDS FLY FREE”

NEW YORK, NY – Nowhere FC Club, the New York-based soccer club comprised of non-professional soccer lovers distinguished for their unique artistic flair, is on a quest to rally soccer and fashion fans alike, in order to host the fifth installment of the its highly successful ongoing event series, Football Concierge. Titled “FOOTBALL CONCIERGE #05: FRIENDS FLY FREE”, the trans-media art show is set to be held in the Fly Nowhere nanogallery, headquarters of the Nowhere FC Club.

The event will showcase the eponymous, Football Concierge “experimental design-system based around hand-built football jerseys and football supporter (“Football Casual”) culture art, embedded into the world with real fans and clubs, and built to travel.” 

Instead of using big-brand blanks as jersey base bodies, each piece, designed in collaboration by Nowhere Club FC members and event supporters, will be built entirely from scratch.

The final pieces will be used to create a unique installation, made by Fly Nowhere Gallery staff members, and put on display inside the gallery, throughout the event’s duration. The public is invited to view the installation, while they can also watch a pitch out in the 100 Forsyth Park located in front of the gallery, or enjoy one of the many European matches playing on one of the screens of the adjoining Football Club café.

In a move befitting the Club’s rule-bending, fashion-forward fusion of the art of garment making and sports/street-wear culture, each jersey constructed during the “FOOTBALL CONCIERGE #05: FRIENDS FLY FREE” will have a matching, “twin” piece.

Upon the event’s conclusion, individual jerseys will be sent out to event supporters, while each jersey’s “twin” piece will be sent to a friend or organization of each supporter’s choice, which can be located anywhere around the world. This way, each jersey effectively serves as a postcard reflecting the event’s message, spreading it, across all corners of the earth, to soccer fans, art supporters, and their beloved alike.

Contrary to the four preceding events, the “FOOTBALL CONCIERGE #05: FRIENDS FLY FREE event, will be funded, in its entirety, by supporters of the Nowhere FC Club’s crowdfunding campaign, which is currently live on the Kickstarter crowdfunding platform, and will conclude April 4th, 2017.
