Robinson Residential Announces New Tiny House Plan

LOS ANGELES, CA. – 1/18/2017 — Premier home plans provider Robinson Residential announced today the addition of a new Tiny House plan to their custom product line.

The Magnolia is a 378 sq. ft. park model, for those looking for something just a little bigger and more permanent than a typical tiny house.  The Magnolia features the same contemporary design as their popular Dragonfly design, which was recently featured on an HGTV special.

“Many people love the idea of reducing their living space, but find many of the tiny houses too drastic of a reduction,” says John Robinson, Principal Designer and Partner at Robinson Residential.  “The Magnolia offers tiny house living with just a bit more space.  It is semi-permanent, meaning it doesn’t have wheels, but can be easily towed to a new location if necessary.

Ye Tan: Corporates Need No Tax Reduction and Care What Do Entrepreneurs Need Indeed?

In November, 2016, when I visited several companies in Suzhou, the entrepreneurs there gave some precious voices to which the entire society should listen.

Recently theorists are discussing if government should reduce tax, should lower exchange rate, and should give more care to companies so as to make them pass through the transition difficulty.

The thinking of front-line entrepreneurs must be considered to know what they really need.

When I conducted research into those companies, I found the fact that it is contrary to what I thought in my study room. The truth is that companies aren’t be bound up in asking for tax reduction or special protect but stable policy expectation, efficient service and the well-functioning protect on innovative and honest corporates.

The result may have something to with the surveyed companies themselves, of which are either leading in industry or superiorly innovative. After earning the first pocket of gold, such companies hope to become a century-old big name through natural selection.

1.GoodBaby: tax reduction isn’t important thing

Goodbaby is founded in 1989. Now two of three buggies in Europe and America are produced by the Goodbaby Group.
Goodbaby introduced the fund and completed the adjustment on ownership structure in 2008, and was list in 2010. It had no worry about its ownership unlike the Vanke and can enter the international market through its internationalized personnel. A healthy and sturdy ownership structure is of great significance for a company which just obtained first bucket of gold.

The gene of this company has changed, from domestic company to international one. Innovation doesn’t mean isolating yourself from the rest of the world and seeking award at home but means quantifying the indexes which can reflect the sales in each region across world and the profit rate of each products.

Second is three times’ transformations. I find even every industry walks on different paths but they will end up in same destination. After several times transformations, the destination is service-chain.

Goodbaby transformed from producing durable goods to consumer goods, later to service products. Goodbaby remains committed to building up service platform and developing service tracking system.

Every family, starting from mother just bearing the child to the child gradually becoming infant and teenager, requires various services. Some billion dollars can be ceiling of manufacturing while prospect in service industry is enormous. When traditional manufacturing is stranded in trouble, transformed companies are enjoying the unique landscape.

After young parents have children, the baby-sitter, the soft materials that can cover on the edge of every furniture in case of baby tumbling, the crib and the service life baby carriage can be huge challenge for them, which requests the companies in the field of infant products to provide a safe and reliable service chain.

The business opportunities are boundless. Teenager’s foot get bigger every day and their foot shapes differ from the adult’s. In our time when all materials were scarce, parents bought much bigger shoes and otherwise we worn brothers’ and sisters’ shoes. That’s not same in today in which children should wear size-fitted shoes, from which the boundless business opportunities arise.

In the past, the shop assistant also was the seller. Nowadays, a store can be a service hub where every shop assistant is a waiter who grasps the professional skill. Third is the control over the standard setting

The last but the foremost is government’s efforts to protect intellectual property.
Some people are always talking about tax reduction, but for established companies, the most needed thing is not the tax reduction but the solution to their biggest concern. The innovation on which company spend tremendous energies can be demolished in one day. If their newly-developed products are manufactured everywhere without their knowledge, they will have no gain for innovation.

Judge: Secured Worldwide Vult CEO Committed Fraud

NEW YORK – 1/19/2017 (PRESS RELEASE JET) — Ruling by C. McMahon, District Court Chief Judge, SDNY: Joseph Lipton, CEO of Secured Worldwide, the diamond technology company behind “VULT,” committed Fraud. Kinney’s patent assignment is reversed, and damages are awarded. Secured Worldwide, valued by investors at $50 million, cannot continue without license.

A Federal Court has found that New York property developer, Arthur “Joseph” Lipton committed fraud. Lipton is founder and CEO of Secured Worldwide, LLC, a diamond technology company, and partner, with Extell Development Company, in the International Gem Tower on 47th Street. Lipton has been a long-time developer, landlord and investment-gem trader in New York’s diamond district.

The Court ruled that Lipton defrauded his partners in two companies, while forming Secured Worldwide in 2014, and continued the fraud through 2016. Major investors in Secured Worldwide include global logistics firm Malca-Amit, and Continental Holdings, Ltd., a Hong Kong based public jewelry and diamond investment company. Bill Boyajian, former President of the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), Nigel Paxman, CEO of Malca-Amit, Jay C. Plourde, former CEO of CLSA, a division of Citic Securities, Victor Chan, Executive Chairman of Continental Holdings, and Mark F. Lieberman, Partner in First Principles Capital Management, are members of the Board of Directors of Secured Worldwide.

Hon. Colleen McMahon, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, entered her verdict and findings in late December, after a five day trial. Judge McMahon characterized Lipton’s testimony as “utterly-” and “entirely incredible”, his assertions as “manifestly not true,” and concluded that “Lipton was lying when he testified.”

Judge McMahon found that Jay Plourde and Mark Lieberman, co-founders of Secured Worldwide, actively helped Lipton to conceal the fraud. However, they were not defendants in the case.

Lipton had originally sued his co-founder and business partner, Cormac Kinney, for breach of contract. Kinney is an engineer and inventor, who developed the software, manufacturing processes and authentication technology for the Secured Worldwide VULT product. Kinney, with no legal experience, litigated the 21 month case Pro-Se.

Using Kinney’s technology, VULT encases a computer-picked set of certified diamonds in transparent resin, with a wireless encryption chip, and a counterfeit-proof optical technology. Consumers can easily authenticate a diamond VULT with a smartphone, and instantly trade the diamonds inside VULT at a daily market price. After Kinney developed this technology, and assigned his patent application to Secured Worldwide, Lipton falsely claimed that Kinney contributed his technology for no equity.

Joseph Lipton disastrously attempted to convince the Court that he co-invented Kinney’s technology, testifying that he studied Aerospace Engineering in a Ph.D program at New York University. Kinney proved that Lipton earned only a B.A. degree from NYU. Most strikingly, after Kinney produced hundreds of documents proving his development of the the patent, Lipton couldn’t produce a single document describing contributions he made.

Judge McMahon ruled that Joseph Lipton fraudulently induced Cormac Kinney to assign his technology to Secured Worldwide, and that it was Lipton who breached a contract for Kinney to further develop that technology. The Court awarded Kinney monetary damages, ordered his investment capital refunded, and returned to Kinney rights to the patent application and technology he had assigned to Secured Worldwide.

The Court also found that Joseph Lipton cheated his partners in another business, GemShares LLC of Chicago. GemShares invented the method to standardize sets of diamonds, for exchangeable consumer products and financial securities. GemShares was awarded a patent, for a computer to pick sets of diamonds to have identical financial value. Lipton became a minority investor in GemShares long after it had received the patent, which protects its consumer and financial diamond inventions.

Joseph Lipton then falsely claimed that he had invented GemShare’s consumer concept, years after the GemShares patent first described it. Lipton’s alleged “invention” became the foundation of Secured Worldwide. Judge McMahon ruled that Joseph Lipton is prohibited from competing against his GemShares partners in any related gemstone product endeavor, and that Secured Worldwide infringed the GemShares patent.

Four witnesses, each a business partner with Joseph Lipton, and his own lawyer, Max Moskowitz, testified that Lipton was untruthful or dishonest. Moskowitz, managing partner of intellectual property law firm Ostrolenk & Faber, was forced to contradict his own client’s false claims, after Cormac Kinney won a motion to force Moskowitz to recuse himself as trial counsel, and to appear as a witness.

In what was described as an attempt to gain an unfair advantage, Lipton and Secured Worldwide hired Kinney’s own lawyer of over 16 years, Ira Greenberg, a partner at Locke Lord, to first sue Kinney in March 2015. Locke Lord LLP is comprised of over 1,000 lawyers.

In a stunning reversal, Ira Greenberg failed to defend Lipton and Secured Worldwide against his former client’s more serious counter-claims. With no legal training, for nearly two years, Kinney represented himself against the Harvard trained litigator, with 35 years experience, and emerged victorious.

One such café is ‘The Hidden Pearl’ in McHenry, IL. Opened in 2014, ‘The Pearl,’ as locals call it, is embraced as a place where business owners and managers meet for one-on-one networking, or with clients and prospective clients. SOUTHLAKE, TX – 1/19/2017 (PRESS RELEASE JET) — The HOSA-Future Health Professionals is proud to announce the 2017 HOSA, Inc. Board Chair, Brock Rops, who was recently elected at the annual Board of Directors Meeting held in Southlake, Texas.  Other officers elected:  Dr. Peggy Enslen, Chair-Elect (DE), and Janet Villarreal, Board Secretary (TX). 

Brock Rops, South Dakota HOSA State Advisor, was elected Chairman, HOSA, Inc. Board of Directors. Rops has been the Area Health Education Center (AHEC) Coordinator at the University of South Dakota (USD) since 2011 and the State Advisor of South Dakota HOSA since 2012. He is currently serving on the USD Health Science Advisory Board of Directors and the Sanford All About Science Festival Committee.

Dr. Peggy Enslen, Delaware HOSA State Advisor and Education Associate, was elected as the Chair-Elect, HOSA, Inc. Board of Directors. Dr. Enslen has been the First State’s HOSA Advisor since 2011. She currently serves on the National Consortium for Health Science Education (NCHSE) Board and the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) Board. Prior to becoming the Delaware HOSA State Advisor, Dr. Enslen was a registered nurse in multiple health systems in Delaware.

Secretary of the HOSA, Inc. Board is Janet Villarreal, State Advisor Texas HOSA. Ms. Villarreal has been serving HOSA since 1994. She began as a local chapter advisor at United South and United North High Schools and, in 2006, became the State Advisor of Texas HOSA, where she continues to lead the country’s largest HOSA state association with more than 33,000 members. Previously, Ms. Villarreal was a registered radiologic technologist at Doctor’s Hospital in Laredo, Texas.

“HOSA is truly fortunate to have outstanding state leaders serving HOSA on the Board of Directors,” said Dr. Jim Koeninger, Executive Director of HOSA-Future Health Professionals. “HOSA has celebrated 33 years of continuous membership growth, and we are confident the organization will continue this trend of providing the pipeline with competent future health professionals with a strong Board of Directors like we have today.” 

New members of the board elected in June 2016 at the International Leadership Conference are Dana Stringer, HOSA State Advisor Region II (AL); Susan Readnower, HOSA Local Advisor Region II (KY); and Jason Huff, Alumni Director-At-Large (OH). 

Four student members of the National Executive Council serve on the board including Elizabeth Carnesi, National President (AZ); Priya Rathakrishnan, President-Elect (GA); Shawnee Chaudhury, Postsecondary/Collegiate Board Representative (NJ); and Angeli Sharma, Secondary Board Representative (NJ).

Other members of the HOSA, Inc. Board of Directors include: Lloyd DeVault, Immediate Past Chair (FL); Mae Dorado, HOSA Local Advisor Region I (HI); Charmane Freeman-Greene, HOSA Local Advisor Region III (SC); Joanne Clovis, HSE Supervisor/Teacher Educator Representative (ID); and Thomas Pryor, Health Career Industry Representative (DC).
