Learning to play your favorite instrument has never been easier, Cleffy’s word!

Cleffy was born recently but its success was not long in arriving, and now is launching on Kickstarter. It is the first virtual music teacher that is able to carry out a real lesson and at the same time interacting with the learner. For example Cleffy is able to listen to him, answer his questions and correct his mistakes.

You don’t need any extra computer equipment to use Cleffy, in fact you just have to use the microphone of your pc or tablet.So you can follow your music lessons everywhere and every time you want to.

Cleffy proposes a musical learning system that has already been run in some other ways, for example one of the most popular platforms is Duolingo (an online language learning software). Each lesson consists in musical exercises, tests and advices to overcome your difficulties. Moreover it includes games and challenges (also group activities) in order to learn easier and in a funnier way.

This interesting project was born from a group of young web developers and music fans. The team, which was formed during the Startup Weekend of Ascoli Piceno (in which the project won the Startup Weekend 2015 contest). The five creators of Cleffy are: Davide Filiaggi,(20 years, passionate about social media marketing) Matteo Annibali (37 years, designer and IT consultant) and Marco Marini (27), Michele Falconi (30) and Simone Lucidi (27) (web developers).

BUZZARM: the World’s First Smart Guard for Wallets

“I did not want it to be another trinket you hang on your keys that feels massive in your pocket and brings discomfort rather than value,” Vitaliy Pochtar, founder and CEO of Buzzarm, explains, “No, in my head it looked like credit card so that you could put in in your wallet and forget it exists. Sounds pretty simple but when it comes to tech – the simplest ideas require the most thorough effort.” 

Buzzarm looks like a credit card and protects your wallet from pickpockets. Just place it in your wallet and relax knowing that your valuables are safe. How it works is simple: if somebody tries to take your wallet, Buzzarm triggers an alarm on your smartphone and on the device itself. If you want to use your wallet, you can easily disable anti-theft mode using their app on your smartphone or smart watch.

In the near future, the team hopes to collect data on theft attempts and share it with police to enhance patrolling of particular neighborhoods and make thieves feel threatened. Currently, they are raising funds from the Kickstarter community to help bring Buzzarm to life along with the Android and iOS applications. For this campaign, Buzzarm will be available in four colors: blue, brown, black and white.

First 5 California Program Inspires “The Storytelling Box”

Tustin, CA – On November 13 2015, Mark Feldstein launched a Kickstarter campaign for Thinkbx, a new company that combines creative solutions to unique themes, all in an elegant craftsman box keepsake. 

According to the First 5 California website, “Research shows 90 percent of a child’s brain develops in the first five years of life. Making those years count is what First 5 California is all about. Our focus is to educate parents and caregivers about the important role they play in their children’s first years.”

This breakthrough in child development research is what inspired Mark Feldstein, a CFO of a local pool remodeling company, to develop The Storytelling Box and his new company, Thinkbx.

Feldstein made it a habit, when his daughter was young, to create spontaneous stories and tell them to his daughter to entertain her on long car rides, planes, even restaurants. According to Feldstein, he was simply engaging his daughter but, per First 5 California’s vision, he was actually encouraging his daughter’s language skills, memory, and imagination.

“I realized that I had helped my own daughter’s brain development without even realizing it. I simply told her stories. I guess I got that talent from being with my Step-Dad who created Mad Magazine,” Feldstein explains.

The Storytelling Box is a collection of 300 cards. 100 are story “prompts” to inspire an adult or older child to tell an original story with embellishment. The remaining 200 cards contain either a story-inspiring image or word where participants can randomly pick a card and begin a story and then by continuing to pick cards, build on the story idea. 

Feldstein quickly realized that one box does not make a company so he has spent the past 8 months developing other themes, such as The Date Box, The Bucket List Box and the I.O.U. Box. So far, they have 10 box themes in all.

In exchange for pledging to the project, backers can gain access to a variety of rewards including the theme of their choice in a Desert Sun style box for $55, a Chestnut style box for $60, or a Terra Cotta style box for $65. Each box is box engraved with art and their unique personal message.

Plans to Open the Zaleski Company General Store Announced

Help to raise community spirit & provide a much needed service to a small village in Ohio.

ZALESKI, Ohio – November 20, 2015 – The Village of Zaleski is named for Count Peter Zaleski, a Polish investor in the Zaleski Mining Company in the 1800s. Tamara Mash’s partner Jan McKibben grew up in the village of Zaleski. It was one of those growing up in Mayberry types of experiences. In the summer, kids would ride their bikes down to the General Store to get a bag of chips and a soda with a quarter. The men all met at the general store in the morning and drank a cup of coffee before going to work, the ladies all stopped in on the way to the Post Office. The General Store was the center of the village.

A place where a person could find out what was happening in the area, and a place where word got out if someone needed help. As with all smaller towns, Zaleski was built around mining, the Charcoal Iron Industry and the railroad. Unfortunately, the Village has been economically stagnant for years. Currently, there is no store in the Village. The old general store closed a few years ago. The residents need a place to buy groceries and other necessities. So, Jan and Tammie want to resurrect both the Zaleski Company General Store and boost the community’s spirit, get some groceries on the shelves, and return to the times when the store was the center of the community.

The store will provide delivery, at no charge, of groceries to the elderly or incapacitated. The general stores decor will display relics and pictures of Zaleski’s rich historic past. The village is surrounded by the Zaleski State Forest and is just four miles away from Lake Hope State Park, which would supply the store with tourists and hunters year round. They will purchase local crofter’s creations, which includes handmade items and soaps, to display and sell to tourists. They will purchase produce and eggs from local farmers, and sponsor a farmer’s market.

It is our hope that by using different activities and events to attract tourists to the village more businesses will show an interest in locating in the community thereby improving the economy of the area. However, before they can reopen the general store, Tamara Mash needs help. That’s why they launched this Kickstarter campaign. The goal of this project is to raise $55,000 by December 21, 2015. The funds raised will go towards purchasing and upgrading the building to get the certificate of occupancy, stock up the store, as well as cleaning and remodeling.
