COSTA MESA, California – November 19, 2015 – Andromeda Fight League, a new, incredible tabletop game, was recently announced. Andromeda Fight League or AFL is a two player expandable game, with a four-player variant, that takes the best elements of battle card games, tactical board games, and chess, and then adds the concept of team drafting and management similar to Fantasy Sports. The random elements built into AFL expand its replay ability and the Draft, Setup and Battle phases add to the depth of the AFL experience. Selecting the wrong display can toss your entire digital signage investment down the drain

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – 19 Nov, 2015 – Selecting a flat-panel display for digital signage can be difficult, especially if you do not know what features and specifications to look for. Display manufactures typically list dozens of technical specifications and key features for each display model. Thus, with so many manufacturers and models to choose from, looking at only a few key features will help narrow your choices.

One of the most important decisions is whether to buy a commercial or consumer display. Consumer displays may be less expensive but may lack features needed for commercial applications. Commercial displays need more rugged components to handle harsh commercial environments, and they need to operate up to 24/7. Further, most commercial displays offer onsite three-year warranties, which are typically not found on consumer displays. In the long run, consumer displays may end up costing more than commercials displays if you take into consideration warranty issues, reliability, and frequency of replacements.

Display brightness is also another important feature. Commercial displays offer much brighter screens than consumer displays to compete with brightly lit areas and sunlight conditions. If a screen is not bright enough to see the content, it does not reflect a good image and, thus, defeats the whole purpose of digital signage. An ambient-light sensor is another feature, which automatically adjusts screen brightness to ambient lighting conditions. It also reduces power consumption and increases the panel’s operating life.

Check the display’s aspect ratio if you plan on hanging the display in a portrait position. Many commercial displays offer this feature, while most consumer displays do not. When using digital signage, not everyone is looking at the screen head on. Many approach digital signage displays from extreme angles. IPS (in-plane switching) is a feature that provides for better and clearer viewing angles. Having a display with IPS also helps to process high-motion content for smoother play.

Last, a feature called “lock-out” allows you to lock out the control panel of the display. If people are within reach of the display, they might have a tendency to start changing channels and volume. This feature locks them out of all controls of the display.
