Inspired by her love of reading, 12 year old author, Kimbriah  Alfrenar,  has just published her first book of a series entitled: “Grandma Dotty: Shocking Summer.”

MIRAMAR, FLORIDA – 19 July, 2016 – Kimbriah started writing this book when she was in 5th grade at Silver Shores Elementary School in Miramar, Florida. The praises that she received from her teachers and her classmates for her essays gave her the motivations to write.  She displayed her passion by writing this book with the intention of getting young kids to become more interesting in reading. She is convinced that many kids will relate to the events in this book.

The author, Kimbriah Alfrenar, has done a masterful job in describing Lily, the main character’s last journey through elementary school and her plan for an exciting summer vacation filled with activities. Lily and Grandma Dotty do not seem to be on the same page. Once Lily finds out that her grandmother is coming to spend the summer with the family, she started to doubt whether her summer vacation will go on as planned. What will happen to her summer vacation? Will the arrival of Grandma Dotty shatter the plans for the summer? Will her skepticism about her grandmother be proven true or false? Will there be a common ground between Lily and her grandma? The best way to find out is to read the book.
