Code to Sexual Assault Reporting System Available to Developers Worldwide

NEW YORK, NY – 5/27/2016 /EASY NEWSWIRE/ — Sexual Health Innovations (SHI) announced Thursday that they have made the code base for Callisto, the nonprofit’s college sexual assault reporting system, open source.

Callisto is an online college sexual assault reporting system designed to (a) create a more empowering reporting experience for survivors, (b) provide authorities with better evidence and data on sexual assault, and (c) facilitate the identification of repeat assailants.

Callisto’s matching system, which enables survivors to only report their assault if another student reports the same perpetrator, is based on the concept of information escrows as proposed by Yale Law Professor Ian Ayres. Information escrows enable individuals to transmit information to a trusted intermediary (an escrow agent), who only forwards information under pre-specified conditions.

“Since Callisto’s launch we have seen increased interest in the use of information escrows for the reporting of misconduct or crimes from a variety of communities,” said Jessica Ladd, SHI’s Founder & CEO. “By making Callisto open-source we hope to give developers and other organizations around the world the opportunity to create their own information escrows from Callisto’s code-base.”

Other potential applications of reporting information escrows include: reporting incidents of sexual harassment in the workplace, corporate and public whistleblowing, or other wrongdoings or crimes where there is a “first mover disadvantage” to reporting.  

“We are excited to have the opportunity to have engineers voluntarily contribute to the Callisto codebase,” said SHI’s CTO Kelsey Gilmore-Innis. “Callisto was made possible by the dedication of volunteers of all kinds. QNET is shocked and dismayed at the police projecting the non-existent dispute over Rs 30,000 as a multi crore scam and the media reports to this effect. QNET would like to take the opportunity to prove the legitimacy of the business in the court of law, where all allegations against the company can be disproved.”

Due to lack of legislation for Direct Selling, QNET and other MLM companies in India are hit by unqualified allegations. Further, in a country like India, there are no State laws / regulations for direct selling with an exception of Kerala.

• Mandatory membership of trade bodies like Acclaim, CHAS, SafeContractor or similar schemes that can check, inspect, validate and enforce safe working practise’s throughout the industry
• Regulating Estate Agents to only use accredited contractors as a minimum safety standard for both landlords and tenants.  Most Agents are not experts in property maintenance, but by ensuring that their contractors are members of approved SSIP Health and Safety scheme, they can reduce the responsibility of the health and safety burden which current legislation places upon them.

Hong Kong Biotech Horizon 2016, a series of events covering a wide range of topics that interest scientific research community at large, started at Hong Kong Science Park on May 25th. Hong Kong Biotechnology Organization, the organizer for the series of events, announced that the events will run till May 28^th. Chronicles director’s 53 years with Undiagnosed ADHD

SEATTLE, WA – 5/28/2016 (PRESS RELEASE JET) — Are Your ADD? Is the latest independent film project to hit Indiegogo. The
documentary is intended to provide awareness about this condition and highlight the importance of diagnosis and treatment.

SEATTLE- 2016—It is estimated that close to 10,000,000 people are living with undiagnosed ADHD. This condition is a legitimate medical diagnosis, and one that is often overlooked in adults because of the association with it being a childhood disorder, and the various coping mechanisms that many adults have created to work around their condition. Are You ADD? is a film intended to focus on the condition of ADHD, as well
as document the lives of those who live with it. 

The documentary is a first-person narrative about the experiences of director Wesley Gray. Gray spent the majority of his life with the condition untreated. The documentary will discuss how Gray went from suffering from ADHD, to receiving the diagnosis and treatment that put his life into perspective after 53 years.

“My moment of ‘Eureka’ was when someone asked me if I had read Driven to Distraction by Dr. Edward Hallowell,” says Gray. “After reading that book everything in my life suddenly began to make sense. Being a creative person, and now being a creative person with a roadmap to bringing the disparate elements of my life together successfully, I knew that this film had to happen and that I could be the one to do it. I can show people through my own life experience what it is like to have Adult Attention Deficit Disorder and what it can be like after treatment.” The project seeks to raise $30,000 on Indiegogo, a crowfunding site, which will enable the filmmaker to complete the production stage of this film. The documentary features some of the most prominent names in ADHD research and treatment , such as Dr. Russell A.
