The play is different than other works on this legendary figure, who inspired millions. It personifies a retrospective on the actual life and times of Dr. King and then offers an innovative insight to the audience of a 21st century Martin Luther King, depicting the issues he would face if he were alive today and how he might deal with them. The main actor of the play, Rabia Louis Haynes, has had a similar life story and the play sheds light on the strife and difficulty African Americans face growing up [even] today. 

With this cleverly presented play, ‘If Martin Luther King Jr. Was Alive Today’, Rabia conveys the struggles of countless African Americans, bound by the shackles of poverty and violence. “This play is dedicated to today’s heroes, to give them hope, inspirationand make them realize that there is indeed light at the end of the tunnel. But they can only get there if they work towards it. If you look at the life of Dr. King and even someone like me; through hard work, dedication and consistency anyone can turn their life around,” states Rabia. 

Rabia Louis Haynes (60 years old) is a Chicago-born actor, producer and director who grew up in the notorious “South-Side” of Chicago, an area stricken with high crime rate and gang violence. In search of a better life, he joined the Navy and eventually attended the Lawrence Merrick Drama College in 1975, where his love for acting blossomed. “Things were tough, but I had this dream to make something out of my life, make it mean something,” recalls Rabia. “That’s when I decided against all odds to get an education and do what I love doing – telling my story to inspire and bring change.”

‘Buy a Song, Save a Life, Anti-Bullying Campaign’ Off And Running

BUFFALY, NY – 5 Mar, 2016 – Stand For The Silent, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing awareness to bullying and the real devastation it causes and J Knight, an Alternative Pop Punk recording artist have teamed up to fight bullying. Half the proceeds from the sale of J’s anti-bullying song “Kill Me Now” and related t-shirts will be donated to Stand For The Silent so they can continue to do the important work they do.

Stand For The Silent has a list of 55,000 children that have taken their lives due to bullying over the last seven years. That works out to 8,000 per year, 22 per day or one child per hour that takes their life because of a bully.  One of these children was Ty Smalley, the son of the organization’s founders, Kirk and Laura Smalley. Ty took his life when he was sent home from school after standing up to a bully that had been tormenting him for two years. In order to make sure that no other family has to go through what they did, Kirk and Laura travel from school to school speaking with students, faculty and parents about the grueling realities of bullying. So far they have visited over 1,000 schools and spoken to over 1 million children.

We hope by speaking to the kids and schools that we can raise awareness to the very real devastation that bullying can and does cause, and get the young people engaged in helping us stop it,” said Kirk Smalley.

He continues, By the time we are done with our presentation many of the kids are in tears and come pouring out of the seats just wanting to hug and connect, maybe tell us their story, etc… we actually receive thousands of messages from the kids we speak to via social media and email that we have actually saved their life. many tell us they had a plan on how they would take their own life until they heard us speak, and now they are not going to do that and want to help us make it stop.”

J Knight who was bullied himself as a child knew that he had to do something to help after hearing the Smalley’s story and about their efforts to help children suffering from bullying.

“I personally know all too well the effects that bullying can have on a child. I went through it and I want to do whatever I can to help kids who are suffering through it right now and to help prevent future cases of bullying from ever happening.”  In order to help J Knight thought his best chance to make a difference was to write a song. “I know that as a child I used music to escape my problems and I thought that writing an anti-bullying song and making a video for it was my best chance to reach these kids that are suffering and let them know that they are not alone and that there is help out there for them.”

The Smalley’s saw the potential power that music could have in aiding their fight against bullying as well.

“J. knight reached out to us with his song and we could tell it was a very powerful work. Young people are very connected to music and we hope with J. knight’s help we can get our message out that bullying must end!” Kirk and Laura believe that if they can help just one child or family from suffering the same pain they have then they have done their job. “Laura and I hope that by doing what we do we save even one baby… one family from living the nightmare we live every second of every day without our son. If we can keep one child from taking their own life due to bullying it is worth all we have to do or give. And by helping even one young person, it keeps our son’s spirit and voice alive.”

In order to help Stand For The Silent and the Smalley’s continue their great work, J Knight has pledged to donate half the proceeds from the sale of his anti-bullying song “Kill Me Now” and related t-shirts to their organization. They are asking the public to get behind their cause and help them put an end to bullying for good.

David Birchall Explains Why Trump Maintains Massive Lead in the Primaries

Donald Trump has been using Authority Marketing and Influencer Marketing combined, to take a massive lead in the polling. The competitors have not cottoned on to what is happening until very recently and now things are changing.

Entrepreneur, David Birchall is a proponent and expert in Influencer Marketing and Authority Positioning in the UK and has not been too surprised how Trump has managed to hog the limelight and stay ahead of the competition. Neither is Brian Horn.

Brian Horn, from Authority Alchemy Group, the entrepreneur credited with being one of the founders of Authority Marketing has said in a recent article:

“We all know that Trump isn’t really an imbecile, no matter how much evidence he might put forth. After all, no idiot can make as much money and be as successful as Trump.

No, Trump is not a dummy. He lets his opponents think he is though, as part of his strategy. He does this to trick his opponents into not preparing well for him.

For example, if everyone else on the debate stage considered Trump a genius, they would likely prepare really well to face him. As it stands, they don’t, and as a result, Trump can sometimes surprise them with a pertinent point, which they are not prepared to counter.”

Donald Trump has certainly created a Brand within the campaign in much the same way it has been used in the businesses.   Love Trump or hate Trump, it’s almost impossible to get the man off the news or TV screens at the moment due to the way Authority and Influencing techniques are being employed.  

Trump sets out to polarize with comments that people sometimes detest but the public still watch and listen. The skill being used in the marketing process is to portray Trump as not being like other politicians! People are sick of the sight of politicians and Trump is creating differentiation by not giving the usual sound bite answers to the questions voters want answering.   While the opponents look towards the White House as a goal Trump’s only goal is the Nomination, the White House is not part of this game it’s the next Big Game.

Trump makes calculated statements that either chime with the psyche of many, or stop others in their tracks and it’s used to throw opponents off countering the arguments.   As a result, Donald Trump is seen as being decisive while the opponents are seen as hesitant and therefore by default, indecisive and slow.

Birchall says: “An observer will see in Trump’s game How Authority & Influencer Marketing can be used effectively, and that should trigger ideas for smaller businesses on ways to stand out from the crowd but without the need for the negativity and aggression used currently with Trump’s campaign.”

However, Birchall questions whether Trump will succeed now the campaign is running into stiffer opposition as it begins to attempt the final hurdles in the race for the nomination.  Trump’s opponents are catching on to the methodologies of Negativity and Aggression employed by the campaign and negativity and aggression always has a limited half-life. 

So it remains to be seen whether Trump chooses the right messages and formats of Authority and Influencer Marketing for the rest of the campaign to hit a home run or be knocked off base.  

The Republican Hawks are circling, their talons are out and it will make a real interesting run in.

The company, which was set up in 2014 intends to expand to other destinations around the world where passengers can reduce the cost of transportation while drivers can make a real income from their ridesharing service.
